I ordered this because my 9-month old won’t leave on mittens and hats. I have a similar product from Lands End, that I also love, but it is too big for this baby. This is a very soft fleece. I don’t think it would be heavy enough for staying outside for long periods of time, but that isn’t my need. This is perfect for everyday in and out of the house, to the car, etc. If we needed to be out, I would add another layer of fleece. (Which is what I did with the Land’s End version, as well. ) The jester hat is adorable!
