For a bouncy seat, it does the job. However, as a first time Mom there are a few things I would have reconsidered. Our little one is a bit over 5 months old and has been using this since she was first born.
First, the pros to this seat:
1. It’s colorful and sturdy.
2. It’s lightweight.
3. It vibrates.
4. It’s affordable
5. It’s washable
Next, the cons:
1. For a newborn/infant – I felt that the head support was only so-so. I added a detachable head support for the first several weeks because our baby’s head kept falling to the side.
2. It’s absolutely impossible to maneuver your baby into the seat WITH the mobile bar attached without hitting your child in the head/face with the hard molded plastic mobile toys.
3. The seat doesn’t play any music – which our baby really would have loved. The middle mobile toy (the lion) rotates between a really wussy purr and a VERY short song. It’s a shame the song isn’t longer.
4. If you baby is at all active, she will just kick the hard bottom of the seat where the on/off switch is.
Would I buy this seat again? I don’t think so – I’d search for a better alternative that plays music.

This product was on someone’s registry and when I bought it on Amazon I saved 17. 00 and received free quick shipping. I then e-mailed my friend and asked her to take off the Target registry and we saved money, this my friends is the way to go!

This chair was a total waste! First off, it’s small. My daughter outgrew this chair before she was 4 months old (her feet were hanging off the end). Second, it doesn’t do anything when your baby moves so my daughter just sat there. The only thing it does is play a lame little ditty if you pull the circle on the middle animal so we kept doing it for her to entertain her for the few weeks she could use it. Don’t waste your money. . . get the Kick & Play instead. It’s bigger and it responds to baby’s movements with lights and sounds.

Bought this bouncy on Amazon for the listed price, after my mom purchased our baby a rocker. Our baby prefers the bouncy to the rocker, could be because she uses the bouncy everyday versus using the rocker every weekend at my mom’s house. Our baby is four and a half months and has been using the PP bouncy since she was about a month and a half. Love that she can look at us while we are on the sofa, great for encouraging interactions. She loves to kick the base of the seat to make herself bounce, at times she even bounces herself to sleep. She has just started reaching for the critters on the activity bar- she loves the lion- probably beacause she has several of the PP collection. I am really disappointed though, after this the fourth time we washed the cover the back “Warning” tag seemed to shrink, thus pulling the fabric in and I can’t get the fabric over the chair frame. Wonder if I can buy a replacement cover, since she is up to 17 pounds, she still has a little while until she gets to 25. A great buy!

My two-month old really enjoys this bouncer. He gets excited watching the toys. However, I don’t know how much longer he can use it. . . The weight limit is supposed to be 25 lbs, but the bouncer already goes pretty low when he sits in there (he’s 15 lbs now). I can’t imagine how low it will get when he gets heavier.
